lol! we have Duke's here in OR because: foodlandia. I remain steadfast in my slant-eye at those jars. That said, you know I won't ever turn down a tomato sandwich any which way.

Tomato as verb. Like Jitterbug, but with juices. I tomato, therefore I 😊 smile. Love this one Mack, though I will almost certainly continue to add a drizzle of olive oil and a spare sprinkle of Malden salt. Thanks for a glimpse into heaven once again.

I happily join you in tomato-ing however you see fit from afar, David. Happy you enjoyed this!

You tomato just like I used to! Sourdough and mayo, and a thick slice of a ripe, fragrant tomato. Drippy and wonderful. Sadly, we can't get decent tomatoes anymore. Only the little Campari tomatoes still taste like tomatoes. The rest have been bred and picked only for their shelf life (which may be decades, as far as I know), and have no discernible taste. What American agriculture has done to the tomato should be labeled a crime. If you don't grow your own, you're outa luck. Maybe you can get decent tomatoes where you live, but here in Florida, we can't.

It’s a sad state of affairs for tomatoes, strawberries etc. I recall wonderful strawberries in FL (Plant City), but I wonder now if they’re as bland as everywhere else. I can find good tomatoes here, and in NC at my family’s little farm~~plus beans, so, so many beans. Hope you get to tomato sometime this summer Walter!

MacKenzie! Hitheretofore we've been like salt and pepper, Bonnie and Clyde, Laurel and Hardy... But this is just too much: what do you mean no Miracle Whip!? No Miracle Whip??? MW with its little blue lid, it's pleasing plastic body, it's scrumptious sweet yet tangy taste! I live on it! I have a bottle here besides me now giving me encouragement! It was a fixture of my mother's refrigerator just like boxes of jiffy mix lined the cupboard. Fifties eating at its best! I ❤️Miracle Whip so much, I even reuse the jars for my homemade curry. All should at least give it a try!!

What a great treat! I didn't know Velveeta could melt! Don't forget some Morton salt and wash it all down with some Hi-C. Jiffy-pop I presume!

No no. Where is your culinary sense. You have to start with unadulterated kernels!

I guess I have no culinary sense! That's why I always picked the corn out of those corn fritters mom used to make. I'd put them on my sister's plate! Did the same to the grapes mom put in the Jell-O!
